There aren't many options for logo elements, you have basically zero choice in where they appear on the logo, you have a heavily limited color palette and every element looks like absolute trash?
I imagine those issues could be pretty annoying. I don't think I've seen very many corp logos that I thought actually looked good. At best corp logos are alright looking, but they're rarely good and never interesting. Does the art team have an intern or something they could just have open up photoshop and redo everything? Don't judge me for the reference Minecraft created the 'banners' and look at the variety of stuff you can do with that, letters, numbers, pictures, gradient colors even multiple gradient colors , many designs, very customizable I know CCP can do better than Minecraft!

Celia Snow. I really find it frustrating after so long they go out of their way to change the overlay icons that, as far as I know, no one was wanting but still haven't updated the corp logo system. Some people have been paying for this game for a lot longer than I have and I can't even imagine how irritating it is to have stuff change that doesn't need to be changed but stuff as simple as a corp logo system has been left untouched.
Corp icons was one of the first things I noticed about this game when I started playing. At that time, as newbie, I thought it was crappy. Remember this when designing your logo. Art Style: Cartoon images have a lower chance of approval, but if they are well produced and follow all the other requirements, then they will more likely be approved.
Simple flat and abstract designs fit best in the EVE setting and have a higher chance of approval. They are also more recognizable, easier to read from the distance and work better when scaled down.
Try to use classic, modern or futuristic fonts. Use of Comic Sans will result in liberal application of spaceship violence. Textures should be avoided in your logo submissions.
Colors: Colors should be chosen within the color range used in the EVE universe. That means colors should generally not be too saturated or bright or they will look like they belong in a different color space than the ship and its surroundings.
Try to keep color harmony in mind. Try to use analogous colors and not too many complimentary colors together. Final pass: In some cases, a very minor tweak to the design like adjusting the brightness or color is needed for logo approval. Submission Style Requirements: Copyrighted material may not be submitted for use as an alliance logo. Real world national symbolism such as flags or crests may not be submitted for use as an alliance logo.

Yeah, and ccp wont have time to review every corp logo that gets uploaded. I would pay to submit a corporation logo. One of our members does graphic design. After having their logo rejected a couple times people will either understand a particular logo doesn't fit in the game or get bored sending perverted images.

The icon selection could also use some expansion. Having custom logos for corporations would slow the process for alliances. It would also demean the reward of building an alliance big enough to qualify for a custom logo.
Why do they call an unknown system W-space or WH-space and not U-space? I think there are 3 paths to upgrade: 1. Simpliest, upgrade the graphic components in logo generator 2. Make another logo generator. Let user upload their logo, considering logo cannot be large, u may even store it as data-URI in the database.
